Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

November 12 Prayer Requests

This week, please remember to pray for those who were elected to public office this week. Even if your chosen candidate did not win (or, especially if your candidate didn't win), please remember to pray for the candidate who did!

Here are our prayer requests for this week:
  • Eric Stroh: had his fourth surgery on his leg this week, and he'll remain at Walter Reed for a while, then he'll require 4-6 months of rehabilitation.
  • Carol K.
  • Linda S.
  • June R.
  • Erin M's boyfriend, Ryan (in the Navy): shipping out to the Persian Gulf for 6 months
  • Ruth and Phillip D: he had a staph infection in his replaced hip and won't get a replacement hip until January.
  • Michael S.
  • Scott M.
  • Bob W.
  • Angie K.
  • Ron C, the maintenance guy @ Luther Pines: heart catheterization Tuesday
  • Randy S (Lou Ann's coworker): found a spot on his lung
  • Virginia (Laurie F's brother's wife): heart problems
  • Laurie's son Jonathan, adjusting to new home in Iowa

We also celebrated the joy of our New Knoxville High School girls' volleyball team doing so well in the state tournament, and we celebrate with Irene at the progress she has had with her eyesight!
