Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

November 5 Prayer Requests

This week we hold elections, and regardless of your political pursuasion, please take the time and go to the polls, if, for nothing else, to help defeat Issue 3. It is not an issue about education; it is an issue about gambling, an issue that if accepted, will do its part to ruin lives in the state of Ohio. The United Methodist Church stands united in Ohio against this proposed Constitutional ammendment - please stand with us with your vote.

Our prayer requests for this week are as follows:
  • Eric Stroh - facing more surgery today (Monday) to have a plate put in his leg (at Walter Reed in Washington D.C.)
  • Carol K: cellulitis in her leg - homebound
  • Angie K: cancer
  • June R: first week of chemo and radiation went well! Please pray as she continues in her treatment.
  • Steve & Leanne W: travelling
  • Virgil G.
  • Kylie's uncle Randy
  • Jackie's father, Ray D: celebrated his 85th birthday Saturday, and things are finally looking brighter for him!
  • Homer G: sugar diabetes
  • Kay & Ariel
  • Case and Alma V (Dave B's friend in New Jersey)

Please remember the following who lost loved ones this week:

  • The family of Elden H.
  • Bob T and his family, in the death of his son (Bob is a co-worker of Scott N).
  • The family of Terry K.
  • The family of John C. (this is Kathy R's step-father)
