Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

November 19 Prayer Requests

As this is Thanksgiving week, I thought I'd start with some praise reports.
  • Lou Ann's co-worker (Randy S) got good results about the spot on his lung!
  • Eric S is doing well after his multiple surgeries to repair his leg (which was broken in seven places). He will stay at Walter Reed one more week and will then go home to Idaho for a month, then back to Walter Reed for rehab. His spirits are very good.

Please pray for the following requests:

  • Jacob N: traveling to Atlanta later this week (his first flight). And keep his family (especially his mother!) in your prayers as they're slightly anxious about him travelling alone.
  • Homer G: medical tests today (Monday)
  • Melvin H.
  • Patty N: outpatient knee surgery on Wednesday
  • The family of Dr. Matt H.
  • Carol K.
  • Scott M.
  • Michael S.
  • Margie S.
  • Denny B & Sue R: upcoming wedding
  • June R: 1/2 way through radiation/chemotherapy
  • Scott N's elderly aunt Carmen N: had extensive surgery and will most likely need nursing home care.
  • Case & Alma V.
  • Dorie G (Lois S's sister-in-law)
  • Cortney C: trip to the emergency room over the weekend.

Please also pray for those for whom Thanksgiving is a struggle: especially for those who have lost loved ones (especially over the last year) and for the families of our service personnel.
