Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

Prayer Requests for the week of July 2

Today we celebrated with our high schoolers as they returned from Lakeside Church Camp. They led an inspiring service that allowed the rest of the congregation to experience a little piece of the spiritual intensity of camp.

Monica N. shared that she had a wonderful experience at the Emmaus Walk spiritual retreat, and, much like the high schoolers, she said it's hard to put to words what it meant. Please keep Monica and all of those who went to Lakeside in your prayers, that they will be able to keep on track. It's easy to slip and find yourself back where you started.

It is also the 4th of July weekend, so please keep our soldiers in your prayers this week, as well as all who are travelling.

Our prayer list for the week is as follows:
  • Sue B: back in the hospital.
  • Mark W.
  • Scott M.
  • Linda B.
  • Angie K.
  • Cecile G.
  • Jeff D.
  • Case V: Dave B's friend in NJ who needs a new kidney
  • John S: two elderly uncles, Harold and Leonard, who are neither one in good health

Also please keep the Scioto Ridge UMC youth group in your prayers; while they were at Lakeside, a member of the youth group (not at camp) was killed in a car wreck.

Finally, We commissioned Ben B as a missionary to Ecuador: he is leaving for a 6 week mission trip later this week. Please continue to pray for him.
