Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

July 29 Prayer Requests

*Added 7/31/07: Please keep Marjorie and Elbert B in your prayers: Marjorie is recovering from a bad bout with the flu, and Elbert had some hammertoes repaired today.

This week, let's start with a couple of answers to prayer.

First, Eric S has been given the go-ahead to begin to walk with a cane. If you remember how badly his leg was crushed and the various surgeries he had to endure, this is a huge step. Also, Irene H had good news on some tests this week.

Now, here are our requests for the week:
  • Dennis C.
  • Don S's sister Evelyn H.
  • Bob J. had some tests and is awaiting the results
  • Joe F.
  • Deb W.
  • Vicky W.
  • Ruth B.
  • Case & Alma V.
  • Nancy & Will K.
  • Linda N.
  • Melvin H.
  • Gene O.
  • Betty H.
  • Trina G.
  • the family of Teddy O (one of Monica's residents at Luther Pines)
  • Homer's wife's family, in the death of two of her uncles
