Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

A Prayer Challenge

Our new District Superintendent, Tom Tumblin, has challenged each of the pastors in our district to a three-fold prayer strategy, and I am asking you to join in with us.

  1. 1-1-1 prayers. By this, I mean that at 1:00 pm, pray for one minute for one person who has yet to meet Jesus Christ.
  2. Friday as a day of prayer and fasting -- praying personal prayers, praying for your pastor, and praying for your church. (If you can't do Friday, pick a day, and if you can't fully fast, pick something to fast from).
  3. Pray about new ministries and new ministry opportunities for our community.

God can and will do great new things, but He never does them uninvited!
