Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

June 18 Prayer Requests

Thanks for all your continued prayers.

Please lift the following requests in your prayers this week:
  • Don Z: hospitalized with ecoli (under treatment - it's under control, but he's still in the hospital) and still with kidney stones
  • Angie K
  • Steve W: traveling for work (in Idaho)
  • Virginia M
  • Nicole B
  • Gene & Irene H
  • Sherry E
  • Scott M
  • Sue B
  • Lester S: having heart tests after a failed stress test
  • Linda B
  • Laverda J
  • Jeff D
  • Cecile G
  • Juanita C (Lynne A's mother): recovering at home

Please keep the following in your prayers as well:

  • Our youth are going to Lakeside for church camp (leaving this coming weekend) - please pray for them: that they will experience God in a real way while they are there and that they will bring that excitement home to share with us and with the community, and that they will be able to do their part to become and to make fully-devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
  • Summer Fun Park Ministry: we had a great kick-off last week with 30 kids (a real change from last year, when we often didn't have any kids). It's a great chance to impact young lives for Jesus Christ.
  • Walk to Emmaus (spiritual retreat) weekend coming up - Monica N is participating as a "pilgrim" this weekend on the Women's Walk, while Lester S and several others are participating on the team for the upcoming Men's Walk. Please pray for them, as these retreats can be wonderful ways to experience God's love and grace more fully (or for the first time).
