Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

September 16 Prayer Requests

Thank you for all your prayers! We have several answers to prayer to report this week - Steve O sent a note thanking everyone for all of your prayers; he experienced a miracle, going from being on the heart transplant list to feeling better than he has in years. Also, Irene H was back with us after her knee surgery, and she is doing really well! Finally, we celebrated that Eric S got the doctors' OK to begin walking with a cane (after 8 months off that leg). Continue to pray for him as he recovers.

We celebrated with two families who had weddings this week: Ned and Linda's grandson Keith got married this week, and Penny C's nephew Sam got married last week.

This week's prayer requests are as follows:
  • Delores P: fell
  • Al Manbeck: broken hip
  • Paul C: lymph node cancer
  • Cecile G (Barb S's sister)
  • Helen K: surgery this week
  • Gene O.
  • Trina G.
  • Kevin S: having a rough time in his first year teaching
  • Dennis C.
  • Maggie H: leaving for college in England
  • the family of Diana T (friends of Janean & Ed O from Cary)
