Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

May 13 Prayer Requests

First of all, happy Mothers' Day! Especially on this day we pray, lifting up mothers all around the world, thanking God for them as well as asking Him to give them strength and grace to bring up their children in godly homes.

Our weekly prayer requests are as follows:
  • Audrey W: it was a joy to have her back in church! Please continue to pray for her full healing.
  • Don and Mary Jo Z: likewise, it was good to have them back from Florida. Please keep them in your prayers as neither has been in great health - and as they prepare their house for sale (to move to Florida full-time)
  • Rob W's friend from Versailles with cancer, going through chemotherapy.
  • Tara V's second cousin, Molly, with possible leukemia
  • June R.
  • Ginger H.
  • Eugene O, Sr: hospitalized with pnuemonia
  • David S: procedure today
  • Irene H: doing well, recovering from knee surgery at the Manor
  • Eric S: also doing well, though getting a little anxious and stir-crazy (still going back and forth between home and Walter Reed)
  • Homer G.
  • Jason W.
  • Will & Nancy K
  • Please pray for the family of Nate J's employee's brother, who was killed in a farm accident
  • Those who are travelling - especially Mindy and Mary Alice, who will be going this week for Kevin's graduation (and for Monica as she stays behind and checks up on her dad!)
  • For Ben B, as he gets married this coming Sunday
