Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

August 20 Prayer Requests

This week we were blessed to get to hear of answers to several prayers! Let's celebrate together as we continue to rejoice over the following:
  • Lester: heart tests went well, and the doctor prescribed no further attention!
  • Ray D (Jackie P's father): heart surgery went well, and he's out of the ICU
  • Ben B: returned from Ecuador safely
  • Carolyn B/Jean H: kidney transplant went well, and they are recovering.
  • Baby Andrew V. got to come home from the hospital and is doing really well (and Jonathan is adjusting to having a baby brother)
  • June (Mike H's sister) had a scare this week, but her biopsy came back clear

Please continue to pray for the following:

  • Gene and Irene: Gene is now receiving hospice care (at Wapak Manor) and Irene has cataract treatments coming soon (in addition to her ongoing care for Gene and trips back and forth to the Manor)
  • Angie K: cancer
  • Chris W: basic training
  • Tanner D
  • Paul K
  • Jana S
  • Morris L
  • Gunde L
  • Scott M
  • Gerry, Donna, and Lucy @ Luther Pines
