Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

May 21 Prayer Requests

We got to celebrate several answers to prayer this week:
  • Gene H celebrated his birthday Thursday, and he is doing really well at Wapak Manor. Keep him in your prayers as he recovers from surgery and prepares for further treatment.
  • Scott M: we have been praying for him for some time now, and he is seeing great improvement (including being able to walk without a cane)
  • Case V (Dave B's friend in New Jersey) is halfway through his surgeries and is doing really well (keep him in your prayers, as well).
  • Mindy S had a great weekend at the prison (Epiphany ministry), and her ministry was able to touch many for Christ.
  • Tara and I had a great vacation: I am thankful for Laurie F, Mindy S, and Pat B, all of whom served in my stead on the Sunday mornings of our vacation.

We still have others who continue to need prayers. Please pray for the following:

  • Sue B
  • Angie K
  • Dorothy K: in the hospital recovering after a heart attack
  • Edison K: back in the hospital after a minor fall
  • Calvin E: fell and broke his hip while visiting NK
  • Mike H's sister June
  • Jackie P's father, Ray D, who needs hernia surgery, but has heart problems that must be dealt with before the surgery
  • Margaret B: making the tough transition into assisted living
  • Also, please pray for our graduates, our teachers, and all who are travelling this weekend (and throughout the summer).
