Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

Easter Prayer Requests

We serve a risen Savior, and that is the most important part of our religion. Because He's alive, we can pray to Him. And what's more; we know that He hears our prayers.

This week's requests include:
  • Gene H: had surgery Tuesday and is recovering.
  • Judy G.
  • Beth S.
  • Angie K.
  • Ben and Mary Alice S.
  • Althea (Gerry M's sister): on oxygen
  • Mark B.
  • Reinhard F: fall
  • the family of Merlin H.
  • the victims of tornadoes
  • Homer's sons: that they would accept Christ

We had many joys as well to report:

  • The birth of Megan Renee O (to Josh and Amy, older brother Logan, and proud grandmother Karen M).
  • Cortney's birthday
  • Kylie's mom's birthday
  • Janean O: recovering well from arthroscopic knee surgery

We also got to celebrate with the NKUMC Youth as they presented an excellent Easter sunrise service (and breakfast).
