Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

February 19 Prayer Requests

We have some great praises to share today!
  • Mike's sister, Ginger, who had been having trouble with her eyes (they thought it was maybe a detached retina) got a clean bill of ocular health! Her eyes are doing great!
  • Alice W's little nephew, who had a heart and lung transplant a while back (you might remember him from our prayer list) is doing well, and he should get to go home shortly!
  • Andy B is doing great! He got to be the flag bearer before the basketball game this weekend -- what a change from this summer!
  • Megan J celebrates her 4th birthday this week!

Please keep praying for our church family and friends:

  • The family of Sierra A, a young girl who died this week.
  • The family of Bob W.
  • Monica N: sick
  • Angie K: cancer
  • Ralph K: back in the hospital
  • Sue N's mother-in-law: cataract surgery
  • Kruse family
  • Milo's aunt and uncle B: both with cancer
  • Gene H: had some tests this week and will get results Tuesday
  • Tara V: knee surgery Tuesday (ACL & MCL reconstruction)
  • Homer G: possible cataracts forming
  • Linda N: it was great that she was able to make it to worship with us today - keep her in your prayers
  • Case V: Dave B's friend in New Jersey
  • Steve W's uncle Mike W: heart problems

Please also keep these ministries in your prayers:

  • The boys' Chrysalis flight (spiritual renewal retreat weekend for teenagers) in Piqua this weekend
  • Next week's Women's Emmaus Walk (spiritual renewal retreat weekend for adults) - with three NKUMC women participating!
  • The NK UCC Church with its new pastor - pray that we will be able to continue our good relationship doing joint ministry with the UCC and that Pastor Dave will adjust to his new church and that the church will respond well to his ministry and leadership and that God will be glorified through their transition.
