Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

September 11 Prayer Requests

This week, please remember the following in your prayers:
  • Wally W's family
  • Sally D.
  • Alice B.
  • Don P.
  • Beth and Matt
  • Heather J: surgery Tuesday
  • Irene H's new eye procedure starting Wednesday
  • Judy's neice Kim finishing radiation in a week
  • Mindy S: serving on an Epiphany (prison ministry - ministering to young people) team

We have some requests this week with a national scope as well:

  • Please remember topray for the victims of the hurricane and those who are taking care of them.
  • Please pray for our president and the leaders of our country as they deal with the war(s) overseas as well as the hurricane aftermath -- plus the appointments of two Justices to the Supreme Court.
  • Lastly, this weekend marked the 4th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks; there are many for whom the world still seems upside-down. Please keep them in your prayers.
