Prayer

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well.
And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. -James 5:13-15

July 31 Prayer Requests

Today I sent a paper and pen around for who wanted included in the prayer chain. The response was phenomenal. Considering there were just over 100 people (total) in the congregation, first glance looked like at least half signed up. When you consider that there are very few people who come without immediate (live in the same house) family, that's pretty remarkable.

I am going to include the names of those who were lifted up for prayers, but, respecting privacy, I will only include first names and maybe last initials. The Lord knows who they all are.

Beth (and Matt)
Phyllis K: cancer
Aaron B: injured seriously in Iraq
Drusilla M.
Joann: cancer
Sally D.
Alice B.
Carolyn B.
Megan R.
Jim B.
Barb O.
Lauren M: tumor, cancer
Gene & Irene
The family of someone who died in a fire
